Aerial Photos of Foliage in the Ozark Mountains

Aerial Photo 2 -  Ozark National Forest, Baxter County, Arkansas
This is what normal peak display looks like in the Ozarks. Look near photo top center for the single red tree. Unlike more northern foliage peaks the tree species which normally turn red do so about two weeks prior to the peak. Since most of the Ozark trees are oak and hickory species which turn last, an Ozark peak display will be mostly orange, yellow, and mahogany.
